Labis Hot Spring is in Pekan Ayer Panas, a small town 11 to 14 km from Labis that takes its name from the spring. It is a plain public recreation park with four hot pools, a large car park and a man-made garden pond, and GoJohor notes that the government protects the spring and its watershed.

It is a cheap, short stop for locals and drivers passing through Segamat. Reviews from mid-2026 say upkeep is patchy, and in September 2026 a reviewer found only two of the four pools open.

What to expect at the pools

The bathing area is split into four pools. When GoJohor wrote its guide, the two pools facing the men's toilets were out of use and the two facing the women's toilets were working. The shallow pool was about 40°C and the deeper pool hotter, but no maximum temperature has been published. A 2024 guide from Tarikan.my describes several pools of different sizes and temperatures, with seating around them. Not much has changed: in September 2026 a reviewer found only two of the pools open.

We found no water chemistry data, so the mineral content is unknown.

Facilities

GoJohor describes a large car park and trees planted around the grounds; Tarikan.my lists changing rooms, toilets and a food stall (warung). Next to the pools is a small park with exercise equipment and two children's slides, plus a man-made garden pond with a walking path and a few pavilions.

Reviewers from June to September 2026 complain about upkeep: a toilet door with no lock, a tap missing its handle, and too few toilets. Google lists wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance.

Prices and hours

Entry is RM2 for Malaysian adults and RM1 for children; non-citizens pay RM6 and RM4. Parking is RM2 for a local car and RM4 for a foreign one. Both guides agree on these prices, and an August 2026 reviewer confirmed the RM2 entry.

The Google Maps listing (checked October 2026) gives Monday to Thursday 1pm–7pm, and Friday to Sunday 9am–9pm, close to GoJohor's older schedule. Tarikan.my's 2024 guide listed daily 8am–6pm, so if you plan a weekday morning visit, call 07-928 7106, the number on the Google listing, first.
